Elegant Affairs was founded by celebrity caterer Andrea Correale over two decades ago. Since its inception, Elegant Affairs has served the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Nick Cannon, P. Diddy and Debra Messing as well as corporate giants such as Amazon, American Express, American Heart Association, Google, HBO, Jimmy Choo, and Ralph Lauren. Andrea’s knowledge of innovative food preparations led to an invitation from L’Oréal Paris Academy to be one of their lifestyle and entertaining experts, shortly followed by similar invitations from Ehow.com, Sam’s Club, Lenox China, and OK! TV. “Elegant Affairs is my baby. I breathed life into her 25 years ago and watched her grow all these years. I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished, and I’m not done!” said Correale.
Andrea’s first adventure into the hospitality world was through her company, Rent-A-Waitress, which had a staff of 40. By the time Andrea finished the Hotel and Restaurant Management program at New York Institute of Technology, she felt ready to move on to the next phase of her professional development. Once she completed her degree, a full-service off-premise catering and event planning company was born. It grew into a company sought out for its commitment to excellence.
FEMA Disaster Relief
In 2012, Elegant Affairs was called upon by FEMA Disaster Relief following Hurricane Sandy. Andrea rallied her team to set up an onsite kitchen with food service that was up and ready to serve in less than three days. Andrea and her team served thousands of meals every day. “This project, although not glamorous, gave us the opportunity to use our skillset to do good for the community by feeding 4000 people breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily,” Andrea said. “It warmed my heart to see all my staff rise to the occasion and deliver an outstanding product under less than optimal conditions.”
She confided that it was especially rewarding to provide neighbors, relief workers and New Yorkers of the communities surrounding her hometown with a warm meal as they faced the daunting task of picking up the pieces Sandy left behind. Being a part of the disaster relief effort was a unique occasion, a moment in time Andrea will remember with gratitude and appreciation.
New Recipes for Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day, she picked her favorite fuchsia drinks including Pink Champagne Punch, Pink Berry Sangria and Cupid’s Cranberry Mojito. As far as food goes, Ricotta Heart Ravioli, Pink Soy Wrap Spring Rolls and Perfectly Pink Pasta are set to be on the menu.
St Patrick’s Day recipes
Last year, Andrea prepared Bailey’s Crème Brûlée, Irish Hot Chocolate, French Toast Raison and Shamrock Martinis were prepared in recognition of St. Patrick’s Day.” This year Correale we are working on a delicious vegan Irish stew that’s heart-healthy and organic.”
