Immerse yourself in the 2nd Annual Hamptons Interactive Brunch on July 20th, hosted by Hamptons lifestyle expert, WBAZ Radio Personality, Publisher of East End Taste Magazine, and freelance travel writer, Vanessa Gordon, who has made the Hamptons her home sweet home. Invited influencers will have a chance dine on decadent dishes while learning about some of Vanessa’s favorite brands at the biggest brunch of the summer which is being held at The Maidstone in East Hampton. Vanessa, who has strong family ties to the Hamptons, lives in her Sag Harbor sanctuary with her husband and two young children, and is the source for all things stylish in the Hamptons!
What started as an idea to hold a small luncheon with a couple brands and sponsors turned into one of the most exciting events of the social season. “It was just supposed to be a 20 to 30 person luncheon, I had never done anything like this before!” exclaimed Vanessa. This lifestyle guru was always impressed with her now event planner’s work, Ticket2Events’ Brian Kelly and Sean Koski, so she decided to work with them to make Topping Rose House even more magical at last year’s first ever Interactive Brunch.
“When I saw their events back in 2015, I knew I wanted to use them as event planners, but I had no idea in what capacity. At the time I was just thinking something small like an anniversary, and in conversation I mentioned the idea of a luncheon and they said no, you could do a lot better than that. They integrated the title in and helped build it to what it is now. I have been working on this event four to six hours every day, there are several different moving parts, but making people happy is the end game.”
Last year’s event was such a success that Vanessa decided to bring her brunch back – and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever! This Hamptons expert, who is putting her own fun flair into every aspect of the event, will ensure the indoor space as well as the outdoor garden area is transformed into a whimsical wonderland.
“People love to see the brands that I work closely with on my social media, so it’s an interactive experiential opportunity which is really rare out here. Afternoon events have diminished over the years in the Hamptons so it has to be super great or it won’t exist anymore. Our goal is for it to be the afternoon event of the summer season. Cipriani will be catering the event, Amy Zerner and Monte Farber will be doing astrology, La Croix, one of our sponsors, has something special planned, the famous Serendipity Brands will be onsite, and there will be lots of experiences. It’s a cool opportunity for influencers to meet these brands and it’s a unique networking opportunity as well.”
With close to 200 people expected at this year’s brunch, Vanessa is already planning next year’s event and utilizing her oh-so-chic expertise to expand elsewhere. In addition to enjoying delicious delicacies in a beautifully decorated space, guests will also be giving back as proceeds will be donated to the non-for-profit Bideawee, one of the first no kill animals shelters in the United States, including their shelters in Manhattan and Westhampton. “I want to give back to them as much as possible. The opportunity to give back is so rewarding, especially when I see the difference I’ve made. I will adopt one cat from Bideawee when I return from Cuba in early July, and they have many more that are in desperate need of homes.”
