On Sunday evening, Opening Ceremony threw a party, PIG OUT, which brought also brought together Asian cultural icons — in this case, of NYC nightlife. The mega-fête stacked three downtown events on three floors of Hotel 50 Bowery: BUBBLE_T, a Queer Asian and Pacific Islander dance-party collective hosted by Stevie Huynh, Nicholas Andersen, Karlo Bueno Bello, Pedro Vidallon, and Pauly Tran; GUSH, a lesbian QTPOC intersectional and interdisciplinary party from Angela Dimayuga and Meriem Bennani; and Club Glam, a monthly party at the China Chalet restaurant hosted by DeSe Escobar.

A feast worthy of the party’s name ensued, with the help of cuisine curator Sue Chan of Care of Chan. Dance-floor vibes came courtesy of Yaeji, the Korean-American electronic musician. Pearl River Mart, OC’s long-time Chinatown neighbor, also set up shop, offering for sale a variety of Lunar New Years goodies, bamboo and silk fans, quilted Chinese jackets, well as OC x Muppets merch, on which zodiac it girl Miss Piggy sports a cheongsam. Nearby, Maybelline hosted a fortune teller, where guests had their futures read through their lipstick imprints.

Notable attendees included, but were not limited to Abbi Jacobson, Rosario Dawson, Justin Theroux, Greta Lee, Soo Joo Park, Leigh Lezark, Petra Collins, Phillip Picardi, Prabal Gurung, Jenny Han, Lana Condor, Mia Moretti, Selah Marley, Rainsford, Luka Sabbat, Coco Gordon Moore, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Tyler Mitchell, Anna Trevelyan, Ian Bradley, Li Xiao Xing, Tygapaw, Junglepussy, Meghan Collison
