In the spirit of giving back, D.C.-based pie purveyors &pizza are providing pizza lovers and holiday shoppers with a chance to score some sweet swag while also donating to a worthy cause.

Through Christmas Day (12/25), &pizza will be donating a portion of proceeds from sales on their online store, www.andswag.com to Fight for 15, an organization dedicated to raising the minimum wage nationwide to $15 an hour. &pizza and the company’s co-founder, CEO, and creative director, Michael Lastoria, are steadfast supporters of the organization and its mission.

In addition to classics like their ampersand tees and sweatshirts, &pizza is also debuting new items like dad hats, logo-patterned socks, and gift cards (packaged in the most adorable mini pizza boxes) just in time for the holiday season.

ABOUT &pizza®

&pizza is an anti-establishment establishment built on the renown of its creative pies and craft beverages, localized shop design, and the strength, unity and vibe of its living-wage-paid, ampersand-tattooed Tribe (employees). Under the prescient leadership of CEO, co-founder and creative director Michael Lastoria, &pizza  opened its first location in 2012 on Washington, D.C.’s historic H Street NE corridor. On October 3rd 2017, Lastoria opened his 23rd shop (the second in his hometown of NYC) near Astor Place in Manhattan.

&pizza is a different kind of pizza shop – one where experience is the focal point, and every shop reflects the culture and people who visit most. At all 23 outposts in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Philadelphia and New York, the Tribe collaborates with local artists, musicians, and community organizations on a highly-localized shop design that celebrates the uniqueness of each neighborhood. Artists adorn the walls and loud music percolates over the speakers, keeping the shops vibrant and alive.

&pizza is known for its unique, oblong-shaped pizzas that are made with high quality ingredients and bake in under 2 minutes – each &pizza shop has the ability to craft up to 320 pies per hour. For under $11, guests can either craft their own individual pie with unlimited toppings or choose from 9 signature pizzas – “The Hits”. From the Maverick (for meat lovers) and the egg-topped Farmer’s Daughter (breakfast with a kick) to the Pineapple Jack (a twist on the classic Hawaiian) and the Salad Pizza (a new way to go green), each option offers a bold flavor profile and can easily be further customized. The brand partners with local suppliers called “Little Giants” to collaborate on innovative menu offerings that span a variety of food and beverage categories, including their signature craft fountain &SODA and small batch &TEA.

Cultivating a sense of conscious community is at the heart of everything &pizza does. Whether by surprising guests with dessert pizzas at the end of their meals, providing a living wage for each tribe member, offering complimentary ampersand tattoos, supporting craft purveyors via their Little Giants program, or giving back through their &CHARITY program, &pizza is more than just their delicious, customizable pies and craft beverages. The &pizza Tribe are game changers and innovators disrupting a familiar industry with an energetic and thoroughly modern approach.
