Catching some polo this summer? Now you can eat in style in the stands! Geoffrey Zakarian’s beloved The National in Greenwich will be on the Greenwich Polo Club grounds all season long with a brand new Pop-Up Bar next to the grandstand, is open each match day. The bar will serve polo inspired cocktails as well as offer a gourmet “lunchbox-to-go” for Polo Club-goers.
Each match day, The National’s bar right on the polo grounds, will serve their signature cocktails and iced beverages in addition to signature sandwiches while you cheer on the ponies at the East Coast Open which takes place on August 28th, September 4th and September 11th. Specialties include the wood-grilled sirloin sandwich and smoked king salmon sandwich with chive and truffle fromage blac. You can even munch on some of Geoffrey’s famous Mudslide or Snickerdoodle cookies to make your day even sweeter!
Make sure you place your order at least 72 hours in advance so that your gourmet lunch is available for pick up at the The National when you arrive at the polo grounds so you have relax with upscale casual fare.
