After being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, a thyroid condition that caused her to start feeling unusually tired and led to noticeable weight gain, Martina began looking into ways that she could combat her symptoms aside from medication.
“I started learning about the keto diet because I knew that it was great for maintaining energy levels. The diet also gave me mental clarity because I could focus on things that really mattered without having to change my diet too much. It may sound too good to be true, but keto works by lowering your carbohydrate level so you don’t think about food so much, you just eat naturally when you’re hungry.”

We never planned on creating a blog or a website or to keep working on the website, but then we realized that so many people wanted to learn about it and do more, and eventually it became a full-time job for both of us. Nikos used to make jokes about how no one will visit the website and it will be a waste of time. He turned out to be completely wrong!”
With an accessible app, as well as a well-known blog and website, where they share thousands of recipes and work with medical experts who write articles for them, Martina and Nikos want their users to keep up with the latest keto news! After all, Martina explained that what sets them apart is that “our experts dispense all of the medical advice so that our users can trust us.”
After going through different diets, Martina was determined to find a way to eat the way that she wanted – and now her followers can feel just as good about themselves! “I felt like this was the first diet that didn’t feel like a diet. I don’t count calories and never feel hungry. It’s unlike anything else I’ve ever tried, it’s so easy to follow. It’s just the way I’ve been eating for the last eight years.”

Nikos even remembers using his colleagues as keto diet taste testers by bringing them some of Martina’s best keto creations. “I would take whatever she made to work. “Once I brought chocolate muffins where she used almond flour, low-carb sweeteners and avocado. Nobody knew the difference!”
Martina is always cooking up a new recipe – as well as a new cookbook. Her eighth cookbook, which will be out early next year, will focus on simple recipes.
