On Thursday, The MOMS (Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein) along with Hatchimals by Spin Master hosted a Mamarazzi event with Jenna Dewan to celebrate the release of her book Gracefully You.  The event took place at the very trendy Mr. Purple NYC on the Lowest East Side.
At the event, Jenna shares wither favorite dancers, and answers questions about her favorite date night and co-parenting:
Do you have any advice for young heartbreak?
Jenna: well, I’ve been through many times, many times because we’re human. And that’s just like happens. Um, my advice really is to turn inward and kind of ask yourself, what is this showing me about myself? Like, how can I come out of this like a bigger, better person? And when you do that is what it takes away from being about the other person or about the breakup itself and, and in focusing on yourself, and then at the end of it, you’re bigger, flying higher and happier, and you’ll manifest the thing that matches you there. So just put in the work really.
How is pregnancy different this time?
Jenna: It’s different because I have a six year old that takes all of my time and energy. So why am I so tired this time? I was like, I don’t mean tired. I’m tired. I’m like, because I’m chasing me. Like I’m going you know, it’s like you’re still a mom, you don’t get to be like, I’m pregnant. So I’m going to take some fun just like your life just keeps going. So that’s like more of an energy adjustment. And I’m working on top of it. So it takes I have to find more and more time to recharge myself. I was a lot more nauseous this time around I don’t know if anyone else experienced with me, but also I’m a little bit more relaxed because I know the process – I know what’s coming.
What is your co-parenting advice for divorce?
Jenna: We’re figuring it out I mean I’m really lucky to that I have like an incredible partner with Steve was like absolutely amazing with me and we really do that well with Abby and just like how our partner to be there with you and help you through all this. It’s like music but it’s a journey for everybody.
Who does your daughter look like?
Jenna: She looks like both of us, but she looks like me when I was younger. So if you see a baby picture of me and her you’re like Oh, of course, but she’s got lighter hair. And so you know, she’s a mixture.  I like to protect her from social media although it’s completely backfired because she wants her own YouTube.
What does she want to open on YouTube?
Jenna: She wants to open Hatchimals!
