New York, NY – July 20, 2019 – Holly Peterson’s newest novel, It’s Hot in the Hamptons, was celebrated at a summer cocktails and book signing party on Saturday, at the Southampton Ralph Lauren store.
The party was quintessential Hamptons where guests enjoyed tray passed catering, champagne and rosé as they mingled throughout the Ralph Lauren Southampton store location. Signed copies of the novel were provided at the event which was hosted by Jeffrey and Elizabeth Leeds, Perri Peltz and Eric Ruttenberg, and Alexandra Wolffe and Drew Schiff.
It’s Hot in the Hamptons is a social satire about women who live and love in the Hamptons. It follows the story of Caroline, an East Hampton local turned “city person” when her husband’s business found success in Manhattan. She finds herself moving in competitive, urban circles where fidelity to one’s spouse or friends is rare. When her best friend, Annabelle suggests they experiment as their wayward mates have, the two women fall into tumultuous and intoxicating summer flings. When an old lover returns, Caroline has to decide if she’s ready to risk it all for a chance of happiness.
Peterson is looking forward to meeting fans at a book signing for It’s Hot in the Hamptons on Wednesday, July 24th at 5 PM at Book Hampton, 41 Main Street, East Hampton. She will also be at the Children’s Museum of the East End on August 5th at 5:30 PM for a discussion with Zibby Owens, host of the Webby-nominated popular podcast, “Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books.” Copies of It’s Hot in the Hamptons will be available for purchase at the event.
