For fun yet fine fare, Extra Virgin’s lunch, dinner and drink menus are certainly great for when you’re feeling extra and want an outdoor dining experience in the trendy West Village. After all, this small spot, which has been a neighborhood favorite for 16 years, showcases different olive oils from around the world each and every night. In addition to their charming outdoor space in one of New York’s quaintest areas, Extra Virgin is also offering takeout and delivery options.
This little gastronomic gem is brought to you by Queens natives Michele Gaton and Joey Fortunato. While Michele is always welcoming customers to experience Extra Virgin the way she intended, Joey, who studied in Paris, serves up scrumptious dishes with a tasty twist. In order to expand outdoor dining capacity for both themselves and other neighborhood restaurants, Extra Virgin is appealing to customers to sign a petition which would close West 4th Street between Charles and Perry to traffic. They are also asking loyal fans to support their staff relief fund. During these tough and trying times, Michele and Joey have remained committed to helping to feed the frontlines by providing meals to essential workers in and around the New York area.
