Blo Blow Dry Bar, the original blow dry bar and the world’s largest blow dry bar franchise, announced its continued expansion in New York City with a new location opening in Manhattan’s Financial District (FiDi). Located at 105 Nassau Street, Blo FiDi marks the brand’s 10th location in the state and celebrated its grand opening on October 17 with $35 blow out specials that lasted throughout the weekend. Blo FiDi also raffled off a couple ‘Girls Night Out’ prizes, where the winner received exclusive use of the bar, free bubbly and six free blowouts.
Blo Blow Dry Bar’s FiDi location is owned and operated by first-time franchisee partner Lauren Goldman-Grant of Carity, LLC. An innovative entrepreneur and creative thinker, Goldman brings a wealth of knowledge and more than a decade of experience in business management to Blo. At just 20 years old, she started her first business, Gold Star Concierge & Lifestyle Management, which provides exclusive services for her elite clientele and still operates today. Her drive and commitment to excellence earned her a favorable reputation in the industry and a roster of clients that include members of the New York Yankees, New York Giants and Miami Dolphins, as well as former President Barack Obama.
Prior to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Goldman worked in the music industry, serving as a public relations coordinator at J Records. She assisted with Grammy parties, artist travel, and event planning for notable singers such as Kelly Clarkson and Alicia Keys, among others. This experience, in addition to Gold Star, highlights Goldman’s versatility, which is an attribute that will aid in her success as a Blo franchise partner.

An extension of her own personal journey with a few hair struggles along the way, Blo Fidi is the culmination of Goldman’s passion for and fascination of hair. Growing up with curly, red locks, hair has truly been a focal point in her life, from experimenting with chemical treatments in an attempt to tame her mane to providing cut and color services to her classmates and being referred to as the ‘high school hairdresser’. Goldman first experienced Blo Chelsea years ago and immediately became a loyal customer. She loved the concept so much that not long after, she decided to open a location of her own in FiDi.
“Growing up, I tried every trick in the book to change my hair color and texture. When I came across Blo, they helped me embrace my individuality and I want more women in the Financial District to experience the same feeling,” said Lauren Goldman. “I’m so proud to be opening my first Blo location and look forward to empowering women for years to come.”
