On Sunday in New York City, Amazon Prime Video celebrated the third and final day of the Museum of Modern Love (MoML), with an invite-only event presented by Entertainment Weekly. The MoML, a museum-inspired pop-up experience, celebrated the upcoming Amazon Original series Modern Love, by bringing to life the 8 episodic storylines from the series with dedicated installations. The upcoming romantic comedy anthology, based on the New York Times column of the same name, will premiere on October 18 on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Entertainment Weekly hosted the closing night party which featured an intimate chat and Q&A session with EW Editor-in-Chief JD Heyman and Modern Love’s Gary Carr about love, dating and filming the episode. Ahead of the discussion, guests viewed a special screening of the Modern Love episode featuring Anne Hathaway and Gary Carr. Attendees enjoyed interactive, social media-friendly installations that guests also experienced throughout the weekend, including shareable moments and first-of-a-kind exhibits such as an aura portrait booth that includes a Living Proof hair styling station for touch-ups prior to the photo, a collaborative map of love, a creative confessional, a ‘growing’ family tree, and more.
On Thursday, the MoML hosted a grand opening and premiere event featuring the cast and crew of Modern Love. The festivities continued on Friday with an exclusive screening and panel event, Fire TV Presents: Love on Screen, followed by Saturday’s Domino and Amazon Wedding Registry immersive shoppable experience last night that brought the media company’s special Weddings issue to life and included a special screening of the Modern Love episode featuring Tina Fey and John Slattery. The pop-up was located at 632 Broadway in NYC and open to the public from Friday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13 from 11:00AM to 5:00PM ET.
